Semarang (10/11) — Strengthening synergy and collaboration between alumni and their alma mater plays a vital role in expanding professional networks and enhancing contributions to the development of higher education. This spirit was vividly reflected in the Government Studies Alumni Meet-Up, held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the FIMENA Auditorium, 3rd Floor of Building A, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Tembalang.
The event brought together alumni from various generations with active Government Studies students in a warm and collegial atmosphere. Among the distinguished alumni in attendance were Isdaryati (Class of 1983), Masrokhan Sulaiman (Class of 1985), Dhoni Widianto (Class of 1991), as well as Ujang Bey and Guspito (Class of 2003), as well as Padmasari Mestikajati (Class of 2005). The gathering served as a platform to strengthen alumni ties while fostering collaboration with students and the faculty.
In her remarks, Isdaryati, the Chair of the Committee, expressed her hope that the event would reinforce unity among alumni. “We hope to stay solid and maintain strong connections,” she stated. She further added, “The purpose of this event is to nurture friendship and build synergy and collaboration—among alumni themselves, between alumni and the alma mater—so that it brings real benefits to our younger peers and the student association.”
Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., extended his appreciation and warm welcome to the alumni and students present. He emphasized the significant role of alumni in advancing the field of government studies. “Our goal today is to encourage alumni, particularly those from the Government Studies Department, to contribute meaningfully to the development of the discipline—especially here at FISIP Undip,” he remarked.
Beyond serving as a reunion, the event also featured an inspiring sharing session, where alumni reflected on their career journeys and professional experiences across various sectors. Their stories offered valuable insights and motivation for students to continually enhance their competencies and uphold integrity as future graduates of Government Studies.
Following the activities at FISIP Undip, the alumni continued their gathering at Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Central Java Provincial Government Office. The continuation of the event served as a meaningful moment to strengthen emotional and professional bonds among alumni, reaffirming their commitment to contributing positively to the progress of their alma mater and society at large.
